Health Assignment




Santé: Tâche finale


En équipes de deux, vous rechercherez un des organismes ou ressources communautaires concernant les drogues et la toxicomanie (e.x. Jeunesse, j’écoute, MADD). Vous pouvez soit téléphoner à la ressource ou à l’organisme avec lequel est appariée la question relative aux services dans la communauté, soit faire des recherche à son sujet (sur Internet, ou à la bibliothèque)


Dans le cadre de ce projet de recherche, il faut:
·         Créer une brochure
o   Chercher l’organisme et trouver l’emplacement le plus près de l’école
o   Écrire l’adresse et le numéro de téléphone de l’organisme sur la brochure
o   Découvrir le type d’aide que l’organisme offre.
o   Inscrire une description sommaire des services, les coordonnées d’une personne/ressource et tout autre renseignement pertinent
-Il faut écrire et utiliser les phrases au présent, au passé composé, les pronoms directs, indirects, Y et en. J
Vous pouvez l’envoyer sur Google Docs.

Holiday Food Drive

Our Learning Common Ambassadors, as part of our Student Leadership Team, will be running our Holiday Food Drive, this year from Monday, December 7 to Tuesday, December 15. 

We are looking for donations of non-perishables:
Canned fruit and veggies,
beans, peas, lentils;
pasta, rice, 
soup stock: vegetable, chicken and beef
baby food, etc.

  • Boxes will be delivered to classrooms
  • Small flyers will be made for distribution
  • Please update blogs, newsletters and agendas

Movie Trip

Please sign and return the permission form for the field trip to Cinema Theatres by Tuesday December 1st. There is a admission fee of $5.75. Students can purchase snacks at the theatres if they wish.

French Speeches due on Tuesday

Speech presentations will being on Tuesday February 17th 2015. Students are to hand in a typed copy on Tuesday for a written mark, and present it for an oral mark throughout next week. Students know the rules (e.g. 2-4 minutes), and are to follow them throughout their speech.

Concours d'art oratoire

Dear Parents,

The grade 5-8 French Immersion classes (FI 5/6 A & B, FI 7/8 A &B)  will be taking part in the Concours d'art Oratoire organized by the Ontario Modern Language Teachers’ Association and Canadian Parents for French (Ontario). Students have been learning about argumentative texts, and about speeches. In class, from February 17-20, students will be presenting their argumentative text as a speech. A formal assignment document will be distributed next week with the rules and rubric. One winner from each class will be selected, and on Wednesday February 25th, the 4 contestants will present their speech in front of judges and two finalists will be selected (one from 5/6 and the other from 7/8) to go onto the next round (dates TBD).
