Concours d'art oratoire

Dear Parents,

The grade 5-8 French Immersion classes (FI 5/6 A & B, FI 7/8 A &B)  will be taking part in the Concours d'art Oratoire organized by the Ontario Modern Language Teachers’ Association and Canadian Parents for French (Ontario). Students have been learning about argumentative texts, and about speeches. In class, from February 17-20, students will be presenting their argumentative text as a speech. A formal assignment document will be distributed next week with the rules and rubric. One winner from each class will be selected, and on Wednesday February 25th, the 4 contestants will present their speech in front of judges and two finalists will be selected (one from 5/6 and the other from 7/8) to go onto the next round (dates TBD).

BitStrips Health Assignment

In Health, we have learned about cyber bullying. For the remainder of French classes in 2014, students will be able to work on creating a comic strip about cyber bullying. They may email it to me or print it out for a mark.

 

The instructions are:

Créer une bande-dessinée au sujet d’un personnage qui a un conflit associés à la cyberintimidation. Quel est le problème? Qu’est- qui est arrivé au personnage et l’intimidateur? 

Ta bande-dessinée devrait:
-inclure une histoire 
-utiliser des légendes, des bulles de texte, ou les bulles de pensée
- utiliser des gestes appropriés et les expressions faciales
-avoir les phrases complètes (les lettres majuscules, ponctuation, grammaire)
